SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Hurricane Isaias made landfall into Destin Florida at 9:30 p.m. EDT on Friday as a category 2 hurricane with winds of 100 mph. It will continue to weaken throughout the day on Saturday as it moves away.We will continue to see problems along the coast and out on the waters. A rip current statement is out from the National Weather Service until 8 p.m. Saturday night. A First Alert Weather Day is out for the coast and out on the waters. Boaters there is a small craft advisory in effect for our waters through the day due to high waves and winds out of the south at 20-25 knots. Seas will be 6-9 feet.It will be a breezy day on Saturday with winds out of the south at 10-20 mph with some higher gusts occasionally. We will see partly cloudy skies and warm and muggy conditions. There is a good chance for scattered showers and a few thunderstorms at anytime throughout the day.Saturday night look for a few scattered storms with lows in the mid to upper 70s.Sunday there is a
