You can see the history of PEZ as it celebrates 100 years

ORANGE, Conn. (InvestigateTV) - For 100 years, tiny candy bricks have been hiding inside some of the most famous faces in American history.PEZ, the iconic candy, is made and packaged at the company’s factory in Connecticut, the only PEZ manufacturing facility in the United States.“It’s part pop culture; it’s become an American icon, essentially. Everybody knows PEZ,” said Shawn Peterson, direct-to-consumer business manager at PEZ Candy, Inc.At the PEZ Visitor Center in Orange, the company’s history fills every shelf and even the floor. Peterson, who also serves as the company historian, has contributed much of what’s inside from his personal collection of about 5,000 dispensers.“I lost track of that a long time ago,” Peterson said.The history of PEZ is well documented. The witch or Halloween dispenser came out in the mid-1950s.
